Workshop III & IV

Alternative Darkroom Practices

Facilitating Artists

Sean Lotman
Huda Abdulmughni

Appropriate for

Film photographers and enthusiasts

Recently, analogue photographic processes have seen a resurgence in popularity in photography communities internationally. Many have contributed this to a turn away from screens and the non-tactical interactivity of the digital realm. This is greatly contributing to the opening of darkrooms and the advent of the photobook.

In collaboration with Khemaie Darkroom, this workshop will be led by experimental master printer Sean Lotman. Participants will explore unorthodox analogue darkroom techniques that expand on possibilities beyond simple tonal control and get a rare insight into Lotman’s alchemist influenced practice.
